Cup Quarter-Final

 

 

The Men's First Team's County Cup quarter-final this Sunday has been switched to the Memorial Playing Field (10.30 a.m) kick off. Heavy rain has made the Easton College pitch unplayable. A pitch inspection of the memorial field will take place tomorrow (Friday). Check this site for more information on whether the game will go ahead.

Congratulations to Ladies team players Jodie Allard, Jemma Smythe, Nicola Stolworthy and Nicola Bray who are in the Norfolk county squad for the match against Essex at Dereham on 18th January at 7.45 p.m. Only three teams are represented in the squad - Norwich City Canaries, Norwich City Ladies and Hethersett Athletic. Congratulations also to Tom Rainsford who has completed 150 games for the club.

A Shining Light

Hethersett Athletic is now a shining light in local football thanks to shirt sponsorship for the under 11 girls team from Crompton Lamps of Bradford. To read the full story click here.

 

Christmas Social

The club held its Christmas Raffle Social Evening at the Village Hall on Saturday 9th December. The evening included a buffet and quiz with funds being raised both for individual teams and for club development.


Latest News:  The Women's team have been drawn at home to Ipswich Town Youths in the quarter finals of the County Cup. The match will be played at Easton College on January 21st with a 1.30 p.m kick off. Congratulations to Men's First Team player Matt Steward for reaching his 250th appearance and A team player Andy Oliver for completing 150 appearances..

Chris Completes His Ton

 

 

 

Under-16 player Chris Marshall (pictured with team-mates above) scored his 100th goal for the club in the 2-2 draw with Salhouse on November 12th. Chris went on to score his 101st with an audacious back heel. He was the team's top scorer at Under-13, Under-14 and Under-15 level and won the prestigious club golden boot award in consecutive seasons in 2003/04 and 2004/05.

Top Signing for Women/Nicola Nets for County

The women's team have completed the signing of top striker Nicola Bray from King's Lynn. The 27-year-old is currently top scorer in the East Anglian Division One East.

Jodie Allard and Nicola Stolworthy played for Norfolk in their 4-3 win over Hertfordshire at Dereham on November 7th. Jodie played the full game and Nicola came on after just 10 minutes following an injury. Nicola went on to score one of Norfolk's goals and was named player of the match.
