- 1991 Under-7s 2004/2005 Towards the end of the 2004/2005 season the newly formed Under-7s played a number of friendly matches and certainly turned on the style. Their first competitive games was on Saturday May 7th, 2005 when a squad of eight played two matches of 10 minutes each way. In the first they beat Taverham 5-1 with Peter Wiltshire hitting a hat-trick in the first half. Other goals came from Harry Denny and Matthew Pummell after the break and Taverham pulled one back on the stroke of full time. In the second match they beat Taverham 6-2. The opening goal was again scored by Peter Wiltshire but unfortunately it was an own goal. Ashley Gray scored to make it 1 - 1. A further goal from Taverham and then one from Peter Wiltshire, this time in the right goal , resulted in a half time score of 2 - 2. With Taverham now starting to put on their better players the second half remained very tight until three goals in the last two minutes, one from Peter Wiltshire and two from Sam Comb, saw the final score 6 - 2. On Sunday 15th May the team built on their success of the previous weekend to beat Silfield 3-0 and 5-0. Scorers in the first match were Sam Comb, Peter Wiltshire and Sam Rix and scorers in the second match were Peter Wiltshire (2), Matthew Pummell, Sam Comb and Sam Rix. |
