What can you say? 2^nd full season in a league format and we are gonna finish near the bottom, however as a manager the strange thing is we don’t deserves to be there! Unlike the under 9 season (which was very inconsistent) this season has seen the boys play a lot better consistently only to lose by the odd 1-0 sometimes 6! The parents will agree it has been frustrating at times and I am surprised I haven’t turned out like my dad…Bald, with some of the performances. Next season we should do well and adapt to 11 a side like a dead duck to water lol, we will do it and Hethersett under 11’s will have a piece of silver and do it in style much like the team of 98/99. The team had such world class superstars such as Olly Whitmore, Chris Kerr, Joe Self and Tom Rainsford. I have every confidence in the boys and with the parents help and my other trusted band of volunteers Kevin Page, Steve Walker, Sham Mehtab, and Chris Denny! We will hopefully rule the under 11 A or B division. Cheers Boys for a top season even though the position doesn’t reflect the way you played.

Hethersett opened the scoring early on but Jex equalised in the second half and Hethersett lost composure and conceded two further goals.

Hethersett held off the opposition well and had some good chances but Firside scored the only goal of the game in the second half.

This was a good entertaining match. Hethersett battled well but Thorpe were the better side in the second half. Goals were scored due to sloppy Hethersett defending. Thorpe were a good footballing side.

This was another entertaining match against sporting opponents and played in the right spirit. It provided Hethersett with a long overdue win. Matthew Butcher made a number of excellent saves to keep the team in the game.
