A National FA Community Charter Club Founded
- 1991 Annual General Meeting - July 2006 The clubs annual
general meeting took place on Monday July 17th at Park Farm Hotel with
11 club members present. Apologies were
received from Nick Tarrant, Dave Manington, Ray Milne, Richard Munro and
Joe Cooper. Chairman’s
Welcome
The chairman
welcomed those present and reported on a reasonably successful season
with the Under-8s winning two trophies. Other teams had gone close to
wining honours. He felt the coming
season would be a pivotal one in the history of the club with a number
of developments likely to come to fruition. We will be fielding a record
16 teams and looking to cement our partnership with Easton College. He urged all
sections of the club to work together to take Hethersett Athletic
forward and further enhance the good name we have in Norfolk footballing
circles. He outlined steps
taken to improve the clubs standing in the village and underlined
we are one of the biggest supporters of youth in the village.
Once again he asked for more help in a number of administrative areas. Secretary Mel
Perkins reported on the continuing
good relationship between the club and Norfolk FA. He was dealing with
five different leagues and felt the name of Hethersett is well respected
throughout the county. He reported on a very good disciplinary record during the previous season with very few sending offs. The club had ended well below the first threshold for disciplinary action. In his position as
club treasurer Mel circulated
accounts up to the end of the club’s financial year in June. This
showed a healthy balance of £5,694 and he paid tribute to the youth
funday that had helped turn the club’s presentation events from a
deficit into a profit. Election
