Comfortable FA Cup Victory

Our Ladies team comfortably progressed to the first qualifying round of the Women's FA Cup with a 5-0 win over Swanton United at Lowestoft thanks to a hat-trick from Emily Coates and other goals from Lisa Ferdani and Vicky Courtney (her first for the club). We now visit Peterborough Ladies in the first qualifying round on September 28th. Hethersett has been drawn away to Aylsham Ladies in the first round of the Two Counties Cup on 19th October. The winners will play either West Lynn or Stalham Town in the second round on 16th November. For a full list of ladies team fixtures click here

Saturday Side on Fire

Club history was made on August 30th when our new Saturday side ran out for their first ever competitive match and started with a 3-1 win against Northwold Sports and Social Club. They then went to the top of the Crown Fire South and Central Norfolk League Division Four with a 1-0 midweek victory over Thurton and Ashby and then knocked Division Two side Dickleburgh out of the Ben Smith Memorial Cup 2-1. 

National Award for Tim Hethersett Athletic's Tim Sadler has been presented with a national award to mark his involvement in grass roots soccer. To read about 16-year-old Tim's special day at Wembley Stadium click here.

Training Evening/Child Protection Policy

The club has adopted a new and more robust Child Protection Policy . This can be viewed by clicking here. The club is holding a special child protection workshop to include best practice in football at Park Farm Hotel on Monday, 15th September from 7 until 10 p.m. For full details of this evening click here. First Team Appointments

We are pleased to announce that Danny Self is returning to the club as joint manager of the Men's First Team for the coming season. Last season's manager Ross Potter has decided to continue and will help Danny to run the team. The club has also appointed Matt Barrett and James Pipe as assistant managers of the first team with long serving player Matt Steward as first team captain. They will be assisted by Karla Andrews and Paul Stone in what is a very solid new set-up.

Deaf Friendly

Hethersett Athletic has become one of England's first 'deaf friendly' football clubs by signing up to the National Deaf Chidren’s Society Deaf Friendly Football Club Pledge. By signing the pledge recently launched by the NCDS the Club has committed to opening up the sport to deaf people. To read about this click here

Charter Mark Renewed

Hethersett Athletic have had their national Community Charter award renewed. The award for excellence is awarded by the Football Association as a benchmark of quality for clubs working at the heart of their communities. Hethersett are one of only six clubs in Norfolk and just over 100 nationally to achieve this award. To read more about the criteria click here.
