A National FA Community Charter Club Hethersett Athletic
Football Club held its annual funday and youth team prize presentations
at Hethersett Middle School. Representatives from
the club’s 10 youth teams
aged from under-9 to Under-16 joined
together for a day of fun, sun, trophies and inter-club matches. The Under-11s Girls’
team received their Norfolk Women’s and Girls Under-11s League Trophy
from chairman of Norfolk FA Stuart Dracup who is also a vice-president
of the Hethersett club. The day also included
speed kick and table football competitions, a raffle and tombola and
proceeds will go towards club funds. “It was another
wonderful day to showcase the success of our club. Holding the funday
gives our youngsters the chance to show off their skills and celebrate
their successes. It also showcases our club and underlines that we are
very much a part of the community,” said club chairman Peter Steward. The event was organised
by club committee members Mike Molloy, Steve Raven and Richard Gamble.
